A recent study of the pollster Trespuntozero showed that the popularity of the far-right winger Argentinian President Javiel Milei dropped with a 54.2% negative image and 44.2% positive, as other showed that 70% of Argentines believe that the president is lying.

Trespuntozero, directed by Shila Vilker, is among the few who hit the first round of the presidential general election last year.
Vilker argued that “There is a dissatisfaction with the move from abstract ideas to everyday impact” and that in recent weeks the veto on pension reform for retirees have caused an increase in social discontent.
A picture of a meeting with Argentine barbecue held at the official residence of Quinta los Olivos, celebrating the pensions veto, and the difficulty in the population to access the barbecue could lower the popularity levels of Milei, according to Vilker.
“One can say that the photo of the roast in Olivos is a photo-caste par excellence. In fact, we don’t have any measurements yet on this, but it’s interesting the comments you hear in the media when ordinary people on the street are consulted,” said Vilker to local media.
About Milei’s lies, the pollster Zubán Córdoba y Asociados revealed that 70% of the Argentinian people think things he say are false.
Santino Córdoba Zuban, analyst for Opinión Pública and member of Zubán Córdoba y Asociados said that the current figures are in line with the analyses they have been making since the beginning of the year “on the rather sudden loss of support to Javier Milei, bearing in mind that it is a term that only lasts 9 months”.
The consultant took quotes from the president of different times and asked people if Milei was lying or not.
“It’s been four months since wages have beaten inflation,” said Milei, but for 68 percent of the people, that is a lie. “We are crushing the insecurity” (for 62%, lie); “Pensions are beating inflation” (lie for 71%); “Employment is improving (lie for 68%). The presidential phrase considered most lying was “Electricity, gas and water rates are free” (76%), said Córdoba Zuban in an interview with Radio Libertad.
